BBC The Apprentice UK 2012 Meatballs Task

BBC The Apprentice UK 2012 Gourmet Meatballs Task

BBC The Apprentice UK 2012 gourmet meatballs task. This week will see Lord Sugar send the hopeful contestants to Scotland, where they must make gourmet grub and be able to sell it on the streets of Edinburgh.

Adam Corbally is the Project Manager for leading team Phoenix, and chooses to make Italian meatballs. His business plan is to maximise profits by cutting costs and the sizes of meatballs.

His team mates and colleagues, Katie and Stephen are less than impressed expressing concern that Adam wants to price the dish at £5.99 to the Scottish customers.

Using mobile units the teams only have one day to sell their wares. Phoenix set up a pitch outside a football match, but unsurprisingly they soon find that those canny Scottish fans will not fork out for what they have to offer.

As the time for the task runs out, the pressure is on to shift what is left. Their sky high prices are reduced and hopes for big profits seem to fade away.
